A Way To Create Artful Objects
A few years ago, as part of a hobby project I discovered the power of parametric modelling using Grasshopper software. It is based on a simple idea. Instead of drawing objects by hand one uses geometric (and other) functions to model things up. Model rebuilds itself instantly when you change input parameters, most basic of which can be object dimensions. Thanks to a powerful development community Grasshopper has become the most popular parametric tool for modeling geometry, physics and much more!
Grasshopper software also has plug-ins to translate modelled shapes directly into robot movements - this is how I made KUKA three meters long industrial robotic arm to create objects by 3D printing and cutting based on Grasshopper models.
This technology is a way to create artful objects for an accessible price. And because there are literally millions of variations possible, you get a piece of art that is unique to your choice.
Constros is taking pre-orders for lighted wall decor - it is a creative process during which you are guided through choices to arrive at your wall decor that not only fits your space dimensions but most importantly - your desired style and character.
Curve-shaped ceiling light elements spanning 8 metres in length. Retrofitted to an existing regular ceiling.
LED lights with 6 separate color segments controllable via Magic Home phone app or by giving voice instructions to Google Assistant.
Solar Panel Pergola Concept
Another example of parametric programming is Solar Pergola for cases when the roof is not suited for solar panels. Concept utilizes a parametric algorithm for placing any kind of standard solar panels into a curved shape!
Made Beautiful To Help Us Go Green
Standard rectangular solar panels modelled into delightful objects that inspire more of us to choose solar energy. The investment is not only something to enjoy aesthetically but also will increase the value of your property.
